analysis

The strategic responses to critical processes such as fetching Inventory data, tracking of shipping platform, pricing from various in-house applications were considered while framing the required technologies for the implementation. By examining the company's strategic decisions, product innovations, and market adaptations, insights were gained to ensure data accuracy and the efficiency of those operations.

implementation

  • Designed and Developed a Centralized Inventory and Shipping Platform NSight to ingest real time updates of inventory positions from 6000+ stores, 60+ Distribution Centers and 250+ Suppliers.
  • Implemented the integration platform to consume Inventory, Pricing and Shipping data from various in-house applications.
  • Designed and developed high performance and low latency Micro services to serve Inventory, Pricing and Shipping data to various in-house applications like Napa Online, POS and B2B clients to have near real time visibility into Inventory Availability across US and Canada.
  • Developed and supported over 100+ services that integrate their respective applications with Order Management, Pricing, Payments, Customer Management, Store Data Governance, HR and Loyalty Systems.
  • Designed and developed the migration of the Inventory Domain to the Google Cloud Platform.

technologies used

Agile Methodology was followed, leveraging tools like Jira, Confluence, Git, SVN.
Application Integrations were implemented using the Tibco Suite of Products such as Business Works, Business Events and the various Tibco Adapters.
The Messaging backbone across all applications was Tibco EMS.
The API Gateway at the service layer for Service Governance was implemented using Tibco APIX.
The Centralized Operational Data Store was implemented using a No SQL Database Cassandra from Datastax.
Micro services were implemented using Java Spring boot Framework.
Continuous Integration and Deployment was achieved with the help of Jenkins.
Inventory Domain was implemented using Google Cloud technologies such as Cloud Run, Pub Sub, Cloud Workflow, Bigtable, Dataflow.
Java Spring boot Framework
Tibco EMS
Tibco Active spaces
Traffic cluster for authentication and Load balancing
Kibana, elastic search and Logstash for monitoring and alerting dashboard
